The Women's Cross Country team won its fourth consecutive West Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, becoming the first USF women's program to win four straight conference Championships in any sport. Eva Krchova led the way, winning the Individual Title, and four of her teammates also finished in the top 10 to help USF run away with the team title. The men's team finished fourth, paced by Jose Madera's 15th-place finish.
The Women's Soccer team had a historic result on Friday night at Negoesco Stadium, coming back from a two-goal deficit to earn a draw with #17 Santa Clara on Senior Night, marking the first time USF has ever taken points from Santa Clara. Freshman Sydnie Telson scored the equalizing goal early in the second half, and goalie Megan Connor and stellar defense got the Dons the result to send the seniors out in style.
Women's Soccer concludes its regular season on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. up in Portland with a match against the Pilots.
The Volleyball team swept Portland on Thursday night behind an overall strong team performance, including 9 kills, 5 digs and a .500 hitting percentage for sophomore Valentina Zaloznik.
USF then fell at Saint Mary's on Saturday, but look to turn things around this week with a 6:30 p.m. contest on Thursday against Santa Clara, part of RIVALRY WEEK, followed by a 1:00 p.m. match on Saturday versus Gonzaga.
The Men's Soccer team finishes up RIVALRY WEEK on Friday at 7:00 p.m. with yet another match against Santa Clara. The Dons fell 2-1 on Friday night at San Diego but came back to earn a 1-1 draw at Loyola Marymount.
