MSOC | Schwarzer Named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week

SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Francisco men's soccer player Leon Schwarzer, who scored one goal and assisted twice over the weekend including the game-winning goal against Portland, has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week for the week of Oct. 23-29.
 
Schwarzer, a native of Munster, Germany, recorded two assists against Gonzaga on Friday, including an assist on the game-winning goal. The senior added to his assist tally in the 90th minute with a pass that put Tawwab Emiola through on goal, and the forward was able to beat the retreating keeper and add an insurance goal for USF.
 
Against Portland, Schwarzer scored a highlight reel goal to go ahead of the Pilots on the stroke of halftime. In the 42nd minute the midfielder received a cross from Manny Padilla, took a touch and back heeled the ball pass the Portland keeper to make it 2-1 to the Dons.
 
With his two assists, Schwarzer is now second in the league in assists with seven and third in points with 17.
 
This is Schwarzer's first TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honor is his USF career.
