Meet Information
Continuing a tradition that began in 2014, San Francisco track and field is slated to host a final qualifying opportunity for collegians at the conclusion of the regular season. The 2017 San Francisco West Coast Last Chance Meet, hosted by the Dons and primarily contested at Cox Stadium, is scheduled for Saturday, May 13.
The event, open to all college, junior college, unattached and club athletes registered with USATF, brings top regional competitors together for one final shot to improve their performance list positions and earn a place in the national championship field.
"The San Francisco West Coast Last Chance Meet will provide one last opportunity for Division I and II schools to obtain NCAA qualifying marks," noted USF head coach
Helen Lehman-Winters. "We enjoy showcasing our program in our backyard and also providing a quality meet for college, junior college, unattached and club athletes."
All running and jumps events and the javelin will be contested on May 13 on the campus of San Francisco State at Cox Stadium. The field events of hammer, shot put, discus and pole vault will take place on Friday, May 12, at Cal State Stanislaus' Warrior Stadium.
