SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of San Francisco's track and field team finished off its weekend at the University of Washington Invitational held at Dempsey Indoor.
The standout performance of the weekend was the school record set by
Jack Rowe in the 3,000m. He finished 8th in his section, and 8th overall with a time of 7:58.82, beating the previous record set by
Ryan Driscoll in 2016 by almost 12 seconds.
On Friday, the women's distance medley relay of
Alena Ulrichova,
Samantha Lind,
Emma Stahr and
Marie Bouchard put in a school record setting performance to finish 3rd in section three, finishing 3rd overall with a time of 11:30.49
Freshman
Lea Meyer turned in a strong performance in the mile race, putting up a mark of 4:51.65 to finish 20th overall. She led for the second half of the race, taking home a decisive win in her heat.
In the 200m,
Asaundra Dalton and Lind turned in a pair of strong performances. Dalton finished second in her heat and 15th overall with a time of 25.14. Lind won her heat with a time 25.66 to place 28th overall.
