Katie Morgan at the Winter Olympics

Did you enjoy the opening ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Olympics?  Our very own Katie Morgan is in PyeongChang for the Olympics working tirelessly behind the scenes, not unlike she does here on the Hilltop.

Over the next few weeks, we will share some of the photos and videos that she shares with us from inside the International Broadcasting Center!

The following pictures and videos were sent to us by Katie.

"My exact location is Jungbong-gil, Bukpyeong-myeon, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea. Otherwise known as the Jeongseon Alpine Center.  My condo is inside the Alpensia resort," said Katie.

"Thanks to a rare day off a group of my NBC employees decided to take an amazing tour to Jeonggangwon and experience the Korean Traditional Food Culture Center.

Jeonggangwon was established to preserve, research, disseminate and promote the values and merits of traditional Korean food culture in the world. There are various hands-on facilities for traditional food culture such as an exhibition hall, cooking room, and a fermentation room.  The center is the perfect place for anyone to learn more about traditional Korean food culture and take part in an abundant variety of experiences.  We got to experience making injeolmi, Korean traditional rice cake, and later sat down with the female chefs and got to experience a traditional Korean lunch of beef, egg, vegetables and rice along with seaweed soup and 4-year-old kimchi.
