Bob Bayless played three seasons for the Dons baseball team from 1953 to 1955.
Returning veterans are: Pitchers, Jack Gallagher, Ed Olmo, Dick Lawless, and Lefty Walsh; Catchers, Dick Bechelli and John Becker; Infielders, Paul Torrente, Len Heinz and George Zucca, last year's Most Valuable Player; Outfielders, Joe Arenivar, the team's leading hitter last year, Bob Bayless, and Dick Sanders. Promising prospects are: Pitchers: Chuck Falcone and Joe Johnson up from the Frosh; Catchers, Bill Ferragario from last year's Frosh, Greg Hadley, All-State from Minnesota, and Leo LaRocca from the 1953 Saint Ignatius Prep (TheFoghorn).
