Greg Eagleton played for the Dons baseball team as a catcher for one season. He had previously attended Cañada College.
Eagleton started the outburst with a lead off single to left field, followed by another single to left by Mooney. However, Eagleton was thrown out at third on the play, with Mooney taking second on the throw. Gentile scored the Dons first run. Eagleton, who also went 3 for 5 on the day, unloaded with a double to right field scoring Woodcock and Miles. Suddenly the Dons had the potential tying run at the plate in Mooney. Mooney hit a sacrifice fly to deep right center, scoring pinch runner Mark McGuigan, (running for Eagleton) to third. Corral then ended the game by popping up to third. Three home runs were hit. Bob Woodcock and Greg Eagleton each socked three-run hits during the inning while Monico Corral added a two run blast. Over the last six games, Eagleton has raised his average to .250 (TheFoghorn).
