A native of Fremont, CA, she attended Oholone Junior College prior to USF, and played soccer for the Dons.

The Dons may have scored four goals, but their defense is what really made this a winning game. This hard-nosed defense was optimized by the relentless play of defender Christina Byers. She drew a yellow card while defending one of the Tigers players.

"Pepperdine only beat them 3-2. It shows that when we want to win, we can rip a team to shreds," said Terbush. "It's not that they were a bad team, but we just played really well." Freshman midfielder-defender Katie Mingst added a pair of goals herself, the first at 43:38 when she took a Christina Byers pass and then blasted a long shot into the upper right corner. "It was a combination," said Byers. "We played very well and the team being not as good helped us out with our confidence."

The first goal of this blowout came just thirteen minutes into the match when Meghan Daly scored on an assist from veteran Christina Byers. The goal came off of a well-placed corner kick and subsequently a nice pass from Byers to Daly for the wide-open shot (TheFoghorn).
