Browne was a native of Los Angeles and graduated in History in 1959.
The 1959 tennis season has been rather dismal for the Don racket squad thus far, out of six matches, the Hilltoppers have dropped them all. Larry Browne, captain of the team, attributes the lack of success to very tough competition and lack of experience. Of the starting six, three of the team members are freshmen with only two returnees from last year's squad. The team is composed of: George Rowan, freshman; Larry Browne, senior veteran; Tony Njoku, Soph; Terry Gleason, senior veteran; Don Henehold, frosh; freshman Jim Thompson, and junior Bob Verzello. Browne remarked that this year we will be mainly rebuilding, since four of the team was lost to graduation, but the team shows steady improvement and with the frosh prospects the team will be one to beat next season (TheFoghorn).
