Winners for the Dons were Jeanette Gomez, who defeated Tomi Spor 6-0, 6-2; Chris Zwierlein defeated Traci Achenson 6-2, 6-1, and the number one doubles team of Gomez and Zwierlein also was victorious 6-2, 6-1. Other competitors for the women's squad were Katie Harmon (4-6, 1-6), Elisa Trucco (2-6, 4-6), Michelle Authier (6-4, 2-6, 3-6), Angela Caldwell (3-6, 1-6). The number two and three doubles teams of Harmon-Trucco (4-6, 6-1, 2-6) and Breslin-Hosie (3-6, 1-6) also fell. Women's tennis coach Byron "Flash" Nepomuceno states, "We have a pretty good team and we'd like school support (TheFoghorn)."
