University of San Francisco Athletics

The University of San Franciseo football team, eager to avenge a 7-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Claremont Mudd College last year, gave every indication in the opening moments of this years contest that they would do just that. USF's defense was brilliant in defeat. Senior tackle Dave olerich, mammoth tackle George "Elwood" Olson, chunky middle backer Leslie Frfanco, and defensive end Paul Laharderne combined to present an almost impregnable wall to the Stag's offensive offering.  The dilemma of the Dons then, was again, an erratic and often time dormant offense (TheFoghorn).
