Larry Arrington, a JC transfer from the College of Marin who prepped at Redwood High School, is a baseball powerhouse. According to Bowman, Arrington is the best calling catcher the Hilltop has seen in years. Backing up Arrington will be Mike Eden, Rich Morales, and Al Mack. Mack will see most of his action as the Dons number one designated hitter.
With runners in scoring positions, pinch hitter Al Mack hit a screaming line drive into left center scoring the tying and winning runs. Pitcher Bob Reed picked up his first win. Mack, who played long ball in the Dons first game against Stanford, could see time at first base, but will primarily concentrate on the designated hitter spot (TheFoghorn).
