Bill Corbett entered the University as a short, chunky, black-haired football player and he emerges as one whose collegiate career has included bits of every campus activity. He is one of the campus business men; being active in the business of the Foghorn and the Seniorita yearbook. The last basketball season saw Bill dispensing towels and resin as senior manager (TheIgnatian).

We are accustomed to think of the word "manager" as inseparably connected with professional sport; yet the amateur games would be practically impossible without the athletic managers' initiative and co-operation. The work of our senior managers, Jack Douglass, Bill Corbett, and John Forde deserves recognition. Their efficiency in leading their respective squads thru four years of activity in which the most rigid economy was necessary has been no little factor in the advancement of the University to the position it now occupies in sporting circles.

Bill Corbett became prominent in his third year as Junior Manager of basketball. The talent he displayed in this position led to his selection as Senior Manager of the same sport. Bill effected many economies in this office; according to his own modest admission he was unsuccessful in only one endeavor-his attempt to steal the leather pellet from Stanford (TheIgnatian).

LINE STRONG The center of the TJ. S. F. line was quite a surprise to the Red Men, as Wunderling at center, "Splat" Moore and Henry at guard, proved an exceptionally strong center trio. Although outweighed, the Fog line was a tower of strength. "Ferment" Farber, "Ape" Musio and Corbett, at tackle, took the defense down time and again, while they easily held their own on defense against the strong Stanford machine (TheFoghorn).
