Paced by senior Arpan Melvani's sixth-place finish, the US women's cross-country team finished fifth overall at Saturday's WCC Championship Meet the Crystal Springs Course in Belmont, CA. The men's squad, led by sophomore Justin Finlay's16th place time, finished tied for seventh.
On the women's side, the Running Dons placed third, with Sacramento State leading the field. The women's team also totaled three runners in the top twenty finishers, with Arpen Melwani finishing second overall (12:57). Liz Hoffner came in 10th, two minutes and change behind Melwani. Pontea Jahani rounded out the squad at 17th with a time of 14:31Â (TheFoghorn).
