There are several highly touted individuals to bolster these plans of the coaches. Co-captains Dan Schultz and Bob Albertazzi are two tough veterans who are expected to again be standouts in the forward wall. Other veterans that should improve with the coming season are big tackle Elwood Ohlson, speedy flanker Mike Gasparini, and tough linebacker Fred Shultz (TheFoghorn).
Defensively the Dons put on a rock-ribbed show, including four interceptions and a tough goal-line stand. John Ravarino, Ken Pitetti and Dan Schultz did standout jobs that afternoon. Dan Schultz, 228 lbs. senior, sparked his teammates. The defensive line played the best game I saw all season. (I miss (sic) only two, Claremont and Cal. Lutheran.) The spirit of the Gold and Green showed throughout. It was the best team effort seen in many a year. Dan Schultz, a senior, would look real good in a West uniform at Kezar this year, and with the right luck, he should get a player's berth (TheFoghorn).
