Frank Palazuelos, All-League star on last year's undefeated varsity squad, is the JV coach. In the absence of any league for JV soccer teams, his squad plays against high schools when the varsity's opponent has no JV team.
The Hilltop booters will be missing one important part of last season's powerhouse squad, however, and that is their high- scoring forward wall. These players — Frank Palazuelos, Herb Weiss, Ludwig Soddemmah, Wayne Saindon, Stan Jonah, and Serge Burenin — scored 58 goals last year to their opponent's 2 (TheFoghorn).
Javier Francisco Palazuelos was a member of the Blockl Club, the Hispanic Club, and the Sanctuary Society. He was JV Soccer Coach his junior year. A native of Bolivia, he planned to work as a lay missionary in South America after graduation.Â
