McDaniels blooped a fly ball down the line in left, giving Tony Rhein a victory in his first decision of the year and dropping the Gaels' record to 23-16,11-10 in the WCC. It was McDaniels' third game-winning RBI of the season, tops for the Dons. In Saturday's first game, St. Mary's built an early 6-0 lead, only to see the Dons put four runs up in the bottom of the fourth behind singles from Watkins and Rochlin, followed by a Brian Nelson double and three more singles from Crawford, Hernandez, and Garcia. In the fifth, USF added another run when Taclas singled, took second on a throwing error, and Jason Mitchell unloads a high curve ball to a stole third (his 33rd theft of the season) before scoring on Watkins' RBI single. Watkins, who is leading the team in batting at .357, would total four RBIs on the day (TheFoghorn).
