GENERAL CAPSULE - An impressive, intelligent and versatile athlete who will play mostly forward this season... excellent offensive skills... not afraid to mix it up physically... a relentless offensive threat... has a powerful shot.
2000 SEASON - Turned in another solid season for USF as a junior... ranked second on the team in goals (4) and points (10)... third goal of the season at UNLV (9/23) was 10th tally of her career... added goal and assist twice in 2000 against Long Beach State (9/10) at the Fresno State Tournament and against Stanislaus State (10/18)... added game-winning assist against the 49ers... scored first goal of the season in a shutout win against Pacific (9/3)... named All-West Coast Conference Honorable Mention for second consecutive season.
1999 SEASON - Turned in a consistent sophomore campaign for USF... recorded three goals and scored seven points to rank second on the team... scored a goal in three consecutive games, including game-winner against Weber State (9/10)... also scored against San Jose State (9/1) and UNLV (9/3)... earned All-WCC selection last season.
1998 SEASON - One of just two Dons to start all 19 games... led team with four goals and ranked second with eight points... goals came against UNC-Charlotte, Saint Mary's, Portland State and recorded game-winner against Pepperdine .
PREP CAREER - A First Team All-Sunset League selection in both her junior and senior years... also made Second Team All-County and Second Team All-Southern Section as a junior... team won the Conference Championship in junior year... graduated in 1998...
OTHER SOCCER EXPERIENCE - Has extensive experience in club soccer, having played for eight years... played in both the Los Angeles FIFA league and her regional ODP team in the summer of 1999... a member of the ODP District 3 team in 1996 and 1997, earning a spot on the CYSA South State ODP team in 1997.
PERSONAL - Heidi Nicole Prestegard... my goal for this season is to build a bond on and off the field with fellow team members with the goal of allowing us to have a highly competitive year... the best advice I could give to youngsters is to follow your dreams... sister, Amber, plays water polo at San Diego State... parents are Gary and Gail Prestegard... born May 22, 1980.
