Jennifer Madkins played guard for the Dons, and in 2023 was inducted into the Golden Valley High School Hall of Fame, where she played for the Cougars. She graduated in the Class of 1996 and is serving as a Merced County Probation Officer.

USF women's basketball began the 1998-1999 regular season on a positive note last Saturday, Nov. 14, defeating San Diego State 54-43 at Cox Arena to start the year 1-0. Senior guard Brittany Lindhe played clutch basketball down the stretch, scoring six of her nine points to lead the Dons on a late 8-0 run and seal the victory over the Aztecs. "I'm very happy to get a road win," said Co-Head Coach Bill Nepfel. "It was a team effort with all eight of our players scoring for the team." Junior Jennifer Madkins, now acquainted with her role as San Francisco's point guard, dished a game-high seven assists, grabbed nine rebounds and added six points.
