James Parrinello is the Senior Litigation Partner and a member or the Management Committee at Nielsen, Merksamer, Parrinello, Mueller & Naylor. He has represented clients in regulatory, constitutional and government law, including complex litigation, arguing successfully before the U.S. and California supreme courts for 25 years.

His areas of practice include the constitutionality of government regulations, legality of state and local initiatives and referenda, voting rights and reapportionment, rent control and property rights.

He attended University of San Francisco for both his Undergraduate Degree as well his J.D. He is a member of the Litigation and Government Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association and has also been a Governor’s appointee to the California Commission on Ballot Initiatives and has served on the faculty of the Hastings College of Trial and Appellate Advocacy (NMPGL).
