First-ever AIAW Playoffs Berth
First-ever NorCal Championship Title

The University of San Francisco Women's Basketball Team made program history in the 1979-1980 season. The Lady Dons had their best season on record at 28-5 record that included victories over several highly-ranked teams. Playing against UCLA, they beat the Bruins 74-60 and earned an invitation to the AIAW playoffs. Eventually, the Lady Dons made their way to the Conference Tournament, and won their first NorCal Championship.
