Haley Carroll was born on May 18, 1988 in Gilroy, CA and attended her local Valley Christian High School.
 
She was one of the best defensive players in the history of USF's women's volleyball. Carroll was a three-time All-WCC performer, including first team selections in both 2007 and 2009. Her 2,089 digs was a USF record, nearly 400 more than her closest second. In 2007, she was named the WCC's Defensive Player of the Year, and played a key role on USF's 2008 NCAA Tournament team, which finished 22-8 overall and 11-3 in the WCC. Carroll finished her USF career second on the aces list with 148, and first in career sets played with 433.
