WCC Golfer of the Month, 2006
USF Career Years: 2004-2008
Hometown: Coquitlam, British Columbia
On the links there were few better than Jessica Potter. The 2008 graduate was honored three times as a member of the All-WCC First Team. She posted three top-five finishes at the WCC Championships finishing tied for third in both 2006 and 2008, as Potter helped guide the Dons to three consecutive second place finishes in the WCC. She was named the WCC Golfer of the Month in March 2006. That same year she was a medalist at the 2006 Oregon Duck Invitational, and finished second at the 2006 Peg Barnard Invitational, and third at the San Jose State Invitational.
Jessica was an Honorable Mention selection to the WCC's 25th Anniversary Team. The native of Coquitlam, British Columbia turned down an opportunity to earn her LPGA tour card, and is now a podiatric surgeon living in Portland, OR.
"I think being a past student-athlete has prepared me for this more than anything because a lot of the attributes I had to have as a student-athlete, and an athlete on a team, was what I had to bring forward to be successful on this path," Potter said. "I think my time at USF helped prepare me for my time as a resident and moving forward."
