Michael Donohoe was born on May 6, 1945 in San Francisco, and attended Archbishop Riordan High School. At 6’ 3”, 225 lbs., he played tight end for the Dons from 1963 to 1967.
Following graduation, he was chosen in the ninth round (225th pick overall) by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1968 NFL Draft, but spent the first three seasons of his professional career with the Atlanta Falcons. Donohoe played with the Green Bay Packers from 1973-1974, and in 1975, spent his last season in Hawaii with the World Football League. In his NFL career, he had 10 receptions for 106 yards, and averaged 22 yards on kickoff returns.
