Sherman Cope Hall was born on June 1, 1929 in San Francisco. He attended Saint Ignatius College Preparatory and then USF in the class of 1952. He played basketball and football for the Dons. He also served as Freshman Class Vice-president, Sophomore Class President, a Junior Class Representative, and Senior Class Secretary and Treasurer. He was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 1952. He received the Alessandri Service Award from USF, and was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 2005.
