As a guard for the USF women's basketball team from 1981 to 1985, Corder was an outside shooter who excelled in all facets of the game, and had a knack for driving the ball to the hoop. In her junior year, Corder recorded a career high of 31 points when she and her team faced Cal. She also scored double digits in points 19 times and was eighth in points (1451). Corder played every game for three seasons, for a total of 81.

Corder was the winner of the USF "Rock Award" as a freshman, and was All-Tournament selection in her first three years on the team. She was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 2004.
