Thomas Applegate

Thomas Joseph Applegate was born on April 23, 1914 in Rumson, NJ. At 6’ 9”, 158 lbs., he played soccer for the Dons. He graduated in 1936, and enlisted in the United States Army in February, 1941, and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his military service, he worked first as a carpenter and then joined the San Francisco Police Department. He was a member of the San Francisco Police Widows' and Orphans' Association, and a member of the American Legion Police Post 459. 
 
He was inducted into the USF Hall of Fame in 1977.
