SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's tennis team dropped its first home match of the spring season Saturday afternoon, falling to the Fresno State Bulldogs, 6-1, at Golden Gate Park.
With the loss, the Dons fell to 3-2 on the spring and the Bulldogs improved to 3-2.

Sofia Holmberg was also defeated for the first time this season, and the Dons dropped their first doubles point of the year after taking the doubles point from Pacific, UTEP, San Jose State and UC Santa Barbara to open dual match play.
“We got out to a slow start in doubles,” said USF coach
Hilary Somers. “We competed well in singles and our players learned some specific things to work on and get prepared for our match against UC Davis next weekend.”
The Dons play host to the Aggies (1-5, 0-0 Big West) on Saturday, Feb. 16 at noon at Golden Gate Park.
