
USF Wraps Up Play at Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. -- USF shot a final round 299 (+11) and finished 14th at the Oregon Duck Invitational which concluded on Tuesday at the Eugene Country Club.
The Dons 54-hole total of 909 (+45) was 10 shots better than 15th-place Gonzaga but five behind Arizona, which finished 13th at 904 (+40).
Oregon won the team event with a score of 858 (-6) to claim a three-stroke victory over SMU (861).
Washington (872) finished third followed by Oregon State and Wichita State at 875.
Oregon's Jonathan Woo claimed medalist honors with an eight-under score of 208, which was good for a two stroke victory over Cody Black of San Jose State and Lewis Cohen Boyer of Wichita State.
Jobim Carlos, who tied for 48th place at 225 (+9), was USF's highest finisher. Carlos was five over par after 10 holes on Tuesday but picked up four late birdies to finish with a 73.
Seb Crookall-Nixon tied for 53rd at 226 (+10) after carding a final round 78.
Cory McElyea turned in a final round 75 to tie for 62nd at 229.
Emil Liljeroth bounced back nicely on Tuesday to close with a 73 after rounds of 80 and 83 on Monday.
Alika Bell shot an 80 and tied for 84th place at 238 (+22).
USF will have one day to catch its breath before teeing off in the U.S. Intercollegiate on Thursday at Stanford Golf Course. Admission is free.
