Dons in Hunt After Second Round

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – After 36 holes, the University of San Francisco men's' golf team sits in 10th place and is right in the thick of things at the Saint Mary's Invitational located at Poppy Hills Golf Course. The Dons finished the second round with a 13-over 297, giving them a two-day score of 582 (285-297).
Soren Lind is the Dons leader after two rounds, he's currently tied for 11th after finishing the day with a 2-over 73. For the tournament he's now 1-over with a 141 (68-73). After a sluggish front-9, Lind was strong in the back-9 where he birdied 13, 17, and 18.
Tied at 36th is Tim Widing who finished the day with a 5-over 76. For the tournament, Widing sports a 3-over 145 (69-76). Toby Briggs is in third for the Dons and tied for 51st overall with a 5-over 147 (73-74).
Alex Chin climbed up the leaderboard on the second day, he's in fourth the Dons and tied for 65th overall with an 8-over 150 (76-74). Freshman Christoffer Palsson is in fifth for the Dons, he finished his second round with an 8-over 79. After two rounds, Palsson is tied for 86th with a 12-over 154 (75-79).

"Today was a rough day on the course," said head coach Jack Kennedy. "We just couldn't get anything going. That being said, there is a good round in our bag tomorrow. I have no doubt that we will bounce back."

The Dons will wrap up the tournament tomorrow morning when they tee off at 8:39 a.m.
