SAN FRANCISCO -- The University of San Francisco women's tennis team faced Gonzaga at the Olympic Club on Friday afternoon. In another clinch format, the Dons fell 0-4 and are now 2-11 in the season.
To start the match, the Dons dropped the doubles point after falling in matches from Emily Maxfield and Mya Bui (2-6), and Anna Sokiran and Shanna Dos Santos (3-6). With the Bulldogs securing the doubles point, Hanna Borjeson and Margarita Treyes' match went unfinished at 5-4.
Treyes began singles play by dropping her match, 1-6, 2-6. Borjeson put up a fight in her second set, but ultimately fell 1-6, 4-6. After Maxfield dropped both her sets 2-6, the rest of singles went unfinished.

"We played a solid Gonzaga team today. It was a hard fought match, but they got the best of the Dons today. We'll regroup for our next match against Portland." — head coach Peter Bartlett.
