
Tim Widing Named to WCC All-Academic Team

SAN BRUNO, Calf. – University of San Francisco men's golf sophomore Tim Widing is starting to see the all-conference awards pile up. The native of Jonkoping, Sweden has been named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Widing, who was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team last week, earns his first All-Academic honors. He boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.52.
To be considered for the team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, a significant contributor to her team and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
Widing and the rest of the Dons will find out about their postseason fate next Wednesday when the NCAA Regionals are announced at 2:30 p.m. on the Golf Channel.
