Jack Kennedy is pleased to announce the addition of Viktor Hagborg Asp (Vänersborg, Sweden/Celsiusskolan School) who signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Dons in the fall of 2020 as a freshman.
"We are very excited to add Viktor to our program," said Kennedy. "We have had a lot of success with players from the Swedish National program and can't wait to get Viktor on campus. Viktor is a great competitor who knows how to win. We anticipate him to have an immediate impact on our team."
The native of Vänersborg, Sweden was named the 2015 Swedish Junior Rookie of the Year and the accolades have not stopped since. In 2019, he was the winner of the Teen Tour Order of Merit and boasted an average score of 72.71 that year.
He has represented his home country in two different European boys team championships, with one appearance resulting in a bronze medal. He also represented Sweden in the World Boys Team Championship that was held in Japan.
He boats a European Golf Ranking of 213. In his last six events he has captured six top-10 finishes, including a championship at the Swedish Teen Tour Elite #3, he carded three rounds under par, including a 7-under 65 in the third round.
