SAN FRANCISCO -- University of San Francisco men's golfer
Tim Widing has received an at-large selection to complete in the 2019 NCAA Men's Golf Regional May 13-15 at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash., as announced Wednesday evening.

Widing, ranked No. 129 in the nation according to GolfStat, will be making his third NCAA Regional appearance, second as an individual.

Last week, Widing became just the third player in USF history to earn First Team All-WCC honors for the third time. He joins Ji Hwan Park (2010-12) and Sebastian Crookall-Nixon (2014-16) as the only players to achieve this feat.Â
The junior led USF with an average score of 71.6 this season which was eighth best in the WCC. He boasts 17 rounds of par or better this year and has carded 113 birdies and has six top-10 finishes. At the WCC Championships this weekend, finished tied for third with a 4-under 213, his third place finish is tied for a personal-best at the WCC Tournament.Â
The NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional is a preliminary round of the NCAA Division I Men's Championship. Each Regional will consist of a 54-hole tournament with 13 teams and 10 individuals at three regionals and 14 teams and five individuals at three regionals. The low five teams and low individual not included on those five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship.

The regional sites are: Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Washington; Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, California; TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky; University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Georgia; and University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. Regionals will take place May 13-15.
