SAN FRANCISCO - The University of San Francisco beach volleyball team is set to compete at the WCC/Big West Challenge. The tournament will begin tomorrow at 8:00 a.m., starting with a match against CSUN. The Dons will also face Sacramento State and CSU Bakersfield.

About The Dons
The Dons enter Saturday with an 0-5 record after falling to San Jose State 4-1 last Friday. USF has seen steady improvement from its pairs but only has two victories on the season to show for it. The Dons' top pair of

Laurie McGrath are 2-3 on the year and have won back-to-back matches including a straight-sets win over No. 20 Arizona State's top pair. Last Friday,
Ally Wada made her beach debut partnered with Ella Reams.
The Opponents
This will be the third time the Dons have faced CSUN and CSU Bakersfield, and the 12th time the Dons have squared off with Sacramento State.
Last time out versus CSUN was in 2018 at the WCC/Big West Challenge that ended in a 5-0 loss for the Dons. All-time series between CSUN and USF is 1-1. The Matadors are 2-0 on the season.
The Dons are also 1-1 against CSU Bakersfield, having last faced the Roadrunners in 2016 when the Dons won 4-1. The Roadrunners are holding a 5-1 record on the new season.
USF 7-4 against Sacramento State. Last time out, the Dons faced the Hornets in 2019, falling 2-3. Sacramento State is coming off a loss against San Jose State and are 1-2 on the season.
