FAIRFAX, Calif. — The University of San Francisco women's golf team climbed two spots on the leaderboard in Tuesday's final round, finishing 10th at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational.

They were only 10 strokes behind ninth-place Cal Poly and 15 behind eighth-place California.
USF had two players finish among the top-20, led by Joan Soewondo's 15th-place finish. She shot an even-par 72 in the final round to total 223 (77-74-72) for the tournament. Annika Borrelli finished tied for 20th thanks to a one-under-par 71 on Tuesday. It was a five-stroke improvement from her best round on Monday, giving her a 225 three-round total.
Pearl Rojanapeansatith (t-56th, 239), Toni Sottile (t-61st, 241) and Hannah Zeman (65th, 244) all shot even or better rounds than they did Monday. Jade Siphomsay finished tied for 47th as an individual, shooting 235 (84-75-76).
"I'm so proud of the way the team finished today," said San Francisco head coach Sara Doell. "We had a tough day (Monday) and they bounced back, and that's a testament to their mindset and their character.
"Joan and Annika both did a great job to lead us and both finish in the top-20. We are looking forward to competing at BYU next week."
San Francisco next competes on Monday and Tuesday at the BYU Spring Classic at the Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane, Utah.
