SAN FRANCISCO — The University of San Francisco women's tennis team fell Friday to visiting San Diego, 4-0, in a West Coast Conference match at the Olympic Club.

The Toreros (11-3, 4-0 WCC) won the No. 1 and 2 doubles spots to take the doubles point and take an early 1-0 lead in the match.
Chiho Mushika and
Maria Martinez Vaquero were leading, 4-3, in their match at No. 3 doubles before it went unfinished.

San Diego then took the No. 1, 2, and 5 singles spots to complete the sweep. Mushika again was on her way to victory, this time at No. 3 singles, before her match went unfinished. She beat USD's Jordyn McBride, 7-5, in the first set and was ahead, 3-2, in the second when it was called.

The Dons next host BYU at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Olympic Club.
