SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The San Francisco Dons women's tennis program and head coach Peter Bartlett have officially announced their schedule for the upcoming 2022 spring season.

The Dons competed in five events during the fall season, including hosting some of the best talent across the country at the 2021 Battle of the Bay Classic. USF's spring schedule will begin on Jan. 18 against the Academy of Art at the Olympic Club and will be the lone event in SF prior to March. 

Following that matchup, the Dons will take on back-to-back Pac-12 programs in the USC Trojans on Jan. 22 and the Stanford Cardinal on Feb. 3. USF will play a third Pac-12 school later in the season as they will travel to Seattle to play Washington on Apr. 17.

"We are excited to start the spring competition season and get things started," Bartlett said. "We'll be hosting the Academy of the Arts who is typically a top level Division II program so we will need to make sure we are ready to go and focused for competition. Our team had a good fall and will be looking to capitalize on the momentum built over our winter break period." 

USF returns to the comforts of home when they welcome the San José State Spartans on March 4 at Golden Gate Park, followed by the Cal Poly Mustangs at the Olympic Club the following day for a big weekend of tennis in the City. 

The Dons will open conference play later in March when they travel east to take on the Pacific Tigers on March 25, and will return for their first home conference meeting with the Pepperdine Waves on March 28.

Wrapping up late in April, the Dons finally regular season match will be at Golden Gate Park when they welcome the Loyola Marymount Lions on April 23. The WCC Championships will follow on April 27 in Ojai.
