SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced their annual All-Academic teams for the 2022 men's and women's cross country season on Tuesday afternoon.
Four USF cross country athletes were selected to the WCC's All-Academic first team with
Baneet Bains,
Ed Buck,
Ruby Smee and
Zoe Wassell each honored with a selection following their tremendous fall racing and in the classroom.
12 other Dons student-athletes were chosen as Honorable Mention selections for their hard work as student-athletes during the fall 2022 season.
Criteria for selection to each team is:
- A minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average based on the most recently completed term at the time of the nomination.
- Be a starter or important reserve with legitimate academic credentials.
- Have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing with at least one year in residence completed at the nominating institution.
- Participate in at least 50% of the institution's completed contests.
