PINEHURST, N.C. – Making the trip to the prestigious course of Pinehurst No. 2, the University of San Francisco men's golf team impressed at the Wake Forest Invitational by finishing in fourth place as a team, which included finishing higher than NC State (31) and East Tennesse State (32), who are both ranked in the top 40 of Golfstat's current rankings.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Leading the charge for the Dons, Soren Lind tied for ninth place with a three-round total of 8-over-218, which gave the graduate student his third top ten finish and fourth top twenty finish of the year.
- Just a few spots behind Lind, Alex Chin tied for thirteenth with a 3-over-220, which marked the fourth time the Pleasanton native has placed in the top twenty-five this season.
- Enjoying success in addition to Lind and Chin, Toby Briggs tied for twenty-fourth overall with a 14-over-224, which gave the graduate student his fifth top twenty-five finish this year.
- Rounding out the scoring, Christoffer Palsson tied for thirty-first with a 17-over-227 while Matthew Anderson placed fifty-ninth with a 26-over-236.
CATCHING UP WITH COACH KENNEDY:
"This week was another grind of a college event. Pinehurst No. 2 was all we could handle given the conditions. I was very proud of the fight we showed to get a good result. We have a big finish ahead and we are all confident that we can get the job done."

USF will return to the Bay Area for The Goodwin from Mar. 24-26 at Stanford Golf Course, which will be hosted by Stanford University.
