PROVO, Utah/SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Following an impressive undefeated week on their home courts, the USF Dons women's tennis team (10-6, 3-2) is back in action as they're traveling for a pair of conference road matches against the BYU Cougars (7-13, 1-3) and San Diego Toreros (13-3. 4-0) to end the week.
The Dons are riding high off consecutive team victories in the City over Pacific Northwest opponents Gonzaga and Portland.
Chiho Mushika and
Mya Bui both had tremendous individual weeks in victories over the Bulldogs and Pilots each picking up wins in singles and in doubles to keep the Dons in a groove as a team.
In previous matchups between both programs, the Cougars lead the overall series with USF 8-3, but the Dons won the last team matchup with BYU by a 6-1 score in April 2021 back in San Francisco. The Dons haven't had much recent success against a top notch USD program that leads the overall series 13-4. and they have won four consecutive matches dating back to the 2016-17 season.
