Women's Cross Country Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their 2022 All-Academic student-athletes and teams late last week with USF redshirt junior Ruby Smee and the entire USF women's cross country team were honored for their tremendous fall on the course and in the classroom.

The USF women's team combined to put together an impressive 3.68 GPA to qualify as recipients with 249 total programs across the nation receiving recognition. Men's and women's squads were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, an honor bestowed to teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the fall grading period.

Smee is studying English at USF while also excelling on the course as she competed at the NCAA National Championships racing in the 6,000 meter run and was named to the WCC's All-Academic First Team for the second consecutive year.
