Mourer and Bujake Lead Dons at SF State Invitational

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's cross country teams returned to the course Friday afternoon, competing in the SF State Invitational at Golden Gate Park.
The women's program kicked off the meet with the 6,000 meters, and Lily Mourer led the way with a 49th-place finish out of 140 competitors. In her second-ever collegiate meet, Mourer completed the race with a time of 24:01.8. Kaylee Noda also competed in the race, earning a 69th-place finish with a time of 24:44.3.
On the men's side, Will Bujake and Andy Ixtabalan-Argueta led the Dons, finishing in 59th and 61st, respectively. Finishing with a time of 26:52.0, Bujake nearly broke his personal best in the 8,000 meters set at the USF Invitational early this season, coming up 47 seconds short.
Ixtabalan-Argueta completed the race just 2.8 seconds behind Bujake with a time of 26:54.8.
