FORT WORTH, Tex. -- Getting back on track to wrap up their road trip, the USF Dons women's tennis team (2-3) picked up the dominant 6-1 victory over the Abilene Christian Wildcats (4-5) on Sunday morning at the Bartzen Varsity Courts on TCU's campus. 

The Dons got off to a fast start on Sunday as USF's double pairings of Rita Colyer and Arianna Capogrosso as well as Hana Gamracy and Caragh Courtney each picked up victories in their matches to account for the Dons' first point of the afternoon. 

USF was able to carry the early momentum into singles play as Maria Martinez Vaquero, Chiho Mushika, Arianna Capogrosso, Azaria Hayes and Rita Colyer each picked up victories in singles to account for their remaining five points on Sunday.

CATCHING UP WITH COACH BARTLETT:
"Nice end to the weekend by defeating ACU. We had good matches starting with the doubles point that we won, starting with strong showings pretty much up and down the line as we won five of the six singles matches. Nice performances from Azaria Hayes and Rita Colyer inserted into the lineup today and it was an overall good match for our team."

UP NEXT:
The Dons now will return to Northern California for their next match against the Cal Poly Mustangs (1-3) in San Luis Obispo on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m. from the Mustang Tennis Complex.
