MALIBU, Calif. - After a pair of tough matches at the first day of the Malibu Invitational Tournament, the University of San Francisco beach volleyball team (0-7) came up short in their Saturday matches. Against the Arizona Wildcats (7-2), the Dons lost with a final score of 5-0, followed by a close game against UAB Blazers (6-5) finishing with a score of 3-2.
Logging the Dons two wins of the day, duo's McKenna Towne, Aquilino, Letizia and Claire Crijns, Branson Lennon, both secured individual victories for their second time this season. To finish the tournament, the Dons play the North Florida Ospreys (6-4) at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday March 12 followed by the Pepperdine Waves (4-2) at 1:00 p.m. at Zuma Beach in Malibu, Calif.
