DAVIS, Calif. - Coming off of a top four finish at The Goodwin, the University of San Francisco men's golf team is back in action this weekend as they will head to Davis to wrap up their regular season schedule with the El Macero Classic at El Macero Country Club.

DONS AT A GLANCE: 

• Last time out, USF played locally for the second time this year as the Dons impressed by finishing fourth overall (1-over-1841) in a loaded field at The Goodwin from Mar. 30 through Apr. 1. Notably, USF finished higher as a team than Oregon (20), Washington (30), Arkansas-Little Rock (36) and BYU (42) while trailing only Oklahoma (3), Georgia Tech (11) and Stanford (7).
• Leading the Dons at the top of the leaderboard at The Goodwin, Matthew Anderson tallied his second top ten finish by shooting 3-under-207 (T-7^th, 69, 69, 69) across his three rounds at Harding Park. Notably, Anderson led the tournament in Par 5 scoring (-8) while also tying for the tournament lead with 15 total birdies. Additionally, the Canadian was also one of 16 participants to record an eagle. 
• Playing well as of late, USF has climbed into the top 50 of Golfstat's NCAA Division I Team Rankings as the green and gold sit at No. 45 heading into the weekend.
• Ready for a familiar course, USF will compete in the El Macero Classic for the third time in the last five years as the Dons previously finished third overall in 2021 (14-under-850/285-277-288) as well as a fourth-place finish (11-over-875/297-284-294) in 2019. For Anderson, this will be his third time competing at this course as he tied for 21^st overall in 2021 (even par 216/72-70-73) as well as tying for 44^th in 2019 (11-over-227/77-76-74).
