SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference officially announced the 2022-23 Women's Tennis All-Conference Honors with the end of the season on the horizon.
Following another strong season that saw the Dons qualify for their second consecutive WCC Championships,
Maria Martinez Vaquero was selected to a pair of awards as she named to the All-WCC second team for singles and along with her doubles partner
Simran Chhabra were picked as All-WCC honorable mentions for doubles play.
Ranked as the #99 overall singles players by ITA, Martinez Vaquero thrived as the number one player in the Dons' lineup all season as she posted a 10-9 overall record in singles playing against the best competition throughout the season.
Competing as a dynamic duo throughout the season, Chhabra and Martinez Vaquero posted an 8-5 record as a pairing while climbing up to the #87 overall spot as a duo per the ITA rankings.
This marks the third consecutive year where Martinez Vaquero has been honored as an all-conference selection, while Chhabra was picked for the first time during her Dons' career.
