SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Battling hard as they fought to keep their season going, the University of San Francisco Dons women's tennis team (12-10, 4-5) dropped their match against the third seeded LMU Lions (14-6, 7-2) at the WCC Championships this afternoon by a final score of 4-3.
Coming close in the final matches, the Dons put on a strong last performance to close out their year. Starting the day off by clinching their two doubles matches for the first point,
Maria Martinez Vaquero and
Simran Chhabra ended on a high by adding to their winning record of 9-5 overall.
Chiho Mushika and
Caragh Courtney collected their last win as a duo, evening their record to 5-5 on the year. In singles, USF had two players, Simran Chhbra and
Hana Gamracy, end the year with an individual win to get them the other two points against LMU.
