SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has officially announced the 2024 WCC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll and Preseason All-WCC Team Tuesday morning.
 
After posting a fifth-place finish in the conference standings a season ago, the Dons have been selected fourth by the league's nine coaches ahead of the 2024 campaign. Pepperdine was awarded the top team in the preseason poll, while San Diego and Loyola Marymount rounded out the top three teams.
 
San Francisco had a successful 2023 season, finishing with a 12-10 overall record and earning conference wins over Pacific, Portland, Saint Mary's, and Santa Clara. The Dons, completing their third straight season with double-digit victories, came alive near the end, compiling a seven-match winning streak and winning five of their seven home contests in the Bay.
 
Led by Simran Chhabra, the Dons welcome back five members from the 2023 season. Katerina Filip (Florida Atlantic) and Erin Richardson (California) join the team as transfers, while Julia Visaya, the lone first-year player, enters her first season of collegiate on the Hilltop.
 
San Francisco kicks off the 2024 season starting on Friday, Jan. 12, when it competes in the Cal Winter Classic.
