Dons Compete Against Loaded Field at Thunderbird Collegiate

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Returning to Phoenix for the first time this season, the University of San Francisco men's golf team competed against a handful of the nation's top teams this weekend as the Dons placed sixteenth overall (22-over-874) at the Thunderbird Collegiate (hosted by Arizona State) at Papago Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
San Francisco will begin postseason play at the 2024 West Coast Conference Men's Golf Championships from Apr. 25-27 at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. Live results will be available via the team's schedule page.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Pacing the green and gold for the second straight tournament, Jakob Melin finished as the high man for USF as the sophomore tied for 43rd overall at 2-over-215 (73, 73, 69). Notably, the reigning WCC Freshman of the Year totaled 36 pars and 9 birdies across his three rounds.
- Completing his final regular season tournament as an undergraduate student, Ben Partridge tied for 75th overall at 7-over-220 (75, 74, 71) as he led San Francisco with 10 birdies throughout the action.
- Rounding out the lineup, Harry Brown tied for 83rd at 9-over-222 (72, 76, 74) while Jackson Rothwell (78, 72, 75) and Svante Palmgren (70, 78, 77) both tied for 91st overall at 12-over-225. Notably, Rothwell and Palmgren finished second on the team behind Melin with 35 total pars each while Brown finished with 33 himself.
